On the way to Ibrox for the Commonwealth Games

Rugby Sevens at Ibrox, the final session, passed this pub on the way. South Africa won the Gold Medal beating, amazingly, New Zealand. Most of the 50,000 plus crowd cheered for South Africa as they were seen as the underdogs. All the underdogs were cheered to the full when playing more established nations. Uganda especially became a favourite.

A great experience; a vibrant crowd, some superb rugby skills all delivered at astonishing pace. England won the 'Plate' which is the final to decide 5th place, beating Wales and, before that Scotland. The latter went down really well!!!
