Over the Top!

Woolston Moor has been baled. This is a small area of grassland next to the main road, completely unlike moorland, that is usually cut and baled each year.

One year we drove past and there were some travellers there, in their vardoes. They were lovely people & I took photos. All very romantic with smoke curling up from their fire & ponies grazing. Then suddenly....they were gone leaving only a little flattened grass to show where they'd been.
