Ladies who lunch

I became a lady who lunches today! Lovely!

This is my friend Sue - a Valleys girl from South Wales. We first met when we embarked on higher education in Cardiff in 1973 41 years ago. We've both been through a few traumas since then but have survived and are both now approaching retirement.

Sue is going to celebrate her 60th birthday next year by going to Patagonia to celebrate the Welsh influences in the area and then running the New York Marathon on 1 November. She puts me to shame! I certainly won't be matching that.

Long may our lunches where we meet up at the hostelry at the end of the M50 continue .
