Fairgound!
I took Flash with me in the car the garage for an emergency repair (the car that is, not the dog - it's had to go back again this afternoon for more maintenance) and she and I went for a wander through the industrial estate and then found a very overgrown bridle way on the other side of the lane. Some distance down it, there was a yard with this old fair ground ride having a little rest. I could not decide if it was in permanent retirement as the paint was rather gloomy and the metalwork looked a bit neglected. I liked the silhouette of the structure and assorted wire fencing against the bright sky, the gleaming lamps, and the raucous contrast of red paint against yellowing nettles and ragwort. I couldn't get the pink campion into the frame - just as well: it would have made it look vulgar!
Still, made me think of Fairground and fond memories.
