Ranting about TESCO
Sometimes Ann likes to have a good old rant??!!
Today I went to work with Ann and I was a bit naughty. Twice I went into the horse field for a play with the tennis ball that I found a couple of weeks ago, and twice I went into the trough when Ann shouted ‘no’ at me. But Ann is not going to rant about disobedient collies in troughs!
On the walk home loads of little buses (that run up and down the hill to the beach), passed me and I went absolutely ballistic at them. I don’t like buses and I do my most ferocious woofing and everyone on the bus laughs at me. But Ann is not going to rant about disobedient collies that bark at buses.
The trouble with working all day; is Ann can only go to Tesco in the evening. This is when Tesco is filled with grumpy holiday makers with hyper brats children, clogging up the aisles, having arguments about what they are going to have for tea. ……………Actually Ann doesn’t mind holiday makers that much. If they weren’t here she wouldn’t have a job and then she wouldn’t be able to afford to buy me all the nice treats that I get.
What does irritate Ann beyond belief is Tesco’s lack of ability to keep their shelves stocked with basic items. Grrrrrrrrr……………. This is a holiday town. The population more than doubles at this time of year. Why do Tesco not understand that and plan accordingly???
Take two basic items that Ann wanted to buy at 5.30pm tonight – wine obviously and bread. Even Ann does not drink wine every day, but when people come on holiday they like to indulge. Hope nobody was looking for anything in particular this evening because the wine shelves were looking a little bit depleted??? It was the same in the bread aisle – there were loads of empty baskets. People on holiday probably buy more bread than they do at home because they make sandwiches to take to the beach. And if you’re on holiday here you can forget about your ‘5 a day’ – lots of empty baskets in the fruit & veg aisle too. Grrrrrr……………
And the other thing that is really annoying is the number of big wire crates that staff are wheeling up and down the aisles at the busiest of times trying to restock the shelves. Though today they only seemed to want to stock up the shampoo shelves. Guess as long as people have clean hair it doesn’t matter if they are hungry and have no wine??!!!
On a positive note – Tesco is very good at opening lots of tills, so one rarely has to queue for very long. On a negative note – one whizzes through the tills quickly because Tesco rarely has everything on a shopping list.
…………And that’s our rant about Tesco over………………. Apart from……………..
Recycling…………………
Tesco, St Ives, has just got rid of all it’s recycling bins at the start of the busiest week of summer it’s made another 6 spaces in the car park!!! How stupid is that???
Practically every ‘holiday let property’ in the town will have information in their welcome folder telling holiday makers that Tesco has recycling facilities. Now nothing is going to get recycled and our beautiful town is going to turn into a rubbish tip!!!!!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……………….
Sorry Blippers. We might have to rant about recycling at a later date.
And to end on a positive note – We love St Ives. The sun has gone in but it’s still very warm. We really do live in a beautiful part of the world.
