Fun at Ke'e Beach

It is another beautiful day in paradise and we were both up early again. Shocking as I am not typically a morning person!

After feeding these beautiful Brazilian Cardinals we headed out to enjoy the fabulous day.

We spent most of the day snorkeling and sun bathing on Ke'e beach. And it was just lovely. Ke'e beach is the farthest north you can travel on Kauai. This is the end of the road, literally. It’s the last beach accessible by car on the north shore.

At this beach is the access point to Kalalau Trail, which is a strenuous eleven-mile trail that winds along this rugged coastline, providing the only land access to legendary Kalalau Valley. I had talked to several people coming down from the trail and they said it was quite muddy and slippery. So I decided to stay back while Richard went up. He wasn’t doing the whole 11 miles but did go to a great look out spot to get his blip. Don’t bother trying to find me down there as I was sitting in the car at the time!

These young boys were enjoying themselves at Ha’ena beach, which we stopped at on our way back to the condo.
