First flush

This first trickle of water is the first flush of water through a section of very carefully excavated river bed to restore a channel for wildlife conservation. Water is pumped and filtered until the river bed is clean enough to connect with the natural water from a mountain stream, restoring it after 40 years of diversion. A good moment for conservation.
