Mrs M
It was late yesterday when I realised that it would have been my mother's 100th birthday. She would have had a party I am sure, being a very sociable and popular lady. My friends all called her Mrs M and Normous rated her very highly as a mother-in-law. Sadly she died when she was just fifty-three years old.
She was born just before the start of the First World War and her sailor father went to sea when she was just three days old. He was based at Chatham and we hope to take George to Chatham Historical Dockyard tomorrow. There is an exhibition about HMS Hogue at the Dockyard at the moment - this was Grandpa's ship.
