Utility
util·i·ty noun \yü-ˈti-lə-tē\
: the quality or state of being useful
: a service (such as a supply of electricity or water) that is provided to the public
: a company that provides electricity, water, etc.
The sign more or less stated that the 'utility company apologised for any inconvenience that may be caused' by them holding up the traffic as they dug up the road. The traffic was controlled by a set of lights, with the other end so far away I could swear I could make out the curvature of the Earth.
As I sat in the car I decided to take this snap of the roadside at least it was something resembling idyllic.
Isn't it strange that at peak travelling times, you never get to see anybody working at these sites!
