Tunnelling Home
I (Annie) left a still grey Bruges this morning for the short drive to Calais for the tunnel home. A short stop en route in a hyper-enormous Carrefour to buy some typically French foods that you just can't get in the UK, then into the queue for the Eurotunnel.
Very unusually, I was first onto the train for the tunnel. I took the opportunity to steer with one hand and get the camera with the other. So - here's the length of the top deck!
Popping out of the other end I was happy to see that, unlike the top of the continent, England was in bright sunshine. It made the last drive home much more pleasant, as I was reminded how much more traffic there is on the UK roads.
Trip over - 1,500 miles driven. Lots of fun had.
