The Sun on My Back

I do love the summer holidays. I had a lazy start to the day, as I'm already into the late nights and late mornings pattern and can't get up in the morning!

I went to my mum's, and then got abandoned to dog-sit while they popped out, which made me lose my momentum. Bo and I had a lovely snooze in the sun while they were out, and then it was 4pm and I hadn't done anything!

I finished my CV, but it wasn't very good. Nevertheless, I decided to trek into London to hand it in. It was warm and gorgeously sunny, so I thought I would do a bit of exploring while I was there.

I had a lovely wander along Southbank again, this time taking in all the sights and smells! I stood and took lots of pictures of the water, as it was nearly 6pm and the light was beautiful.

I wandered to the pub to hand my CV in, and it was quite busy. Job done, I had a nice stroll back, and stood on the bridge just feeling alive, as I stared out across the water. I've walked this bridge with guy friend many time, usually in the dark, with the wheel all lit up. It was quite cathartic, but also soothing and weirdly comforting.

Although I can do things alone, and I will, it's more fun when there's someone by your side.

I popped into the little shop on Southbank, and bought a few little magnets with quotes on them. I just liked them.

Made my way back to the station, and although part of me was hoping I might bump into guy friend on his way home, another part of me didn't want to. As luck would have it, I was squinting at the screens to find a train, and from the sea of faces I saw a friend from work. She was visiting with her family, and we ended up having a lovely catch-up on the train home.

A little more positive each day. Obligatory dance lesson this evening. Decision must be made really.
