A triangular route today. Reluctantly paid £2.50 to park the car for 2 hours at the south end of Thirlmere and hoped we could get the walk done in that time.
Up the fell side to Harrop Tarn tarn (the yellow water lilies adding colour on a dull day), down through the woods (an obstacle course with fallen trees across the path) and back along the lakeshore by which time it was raining.
Noticed this caterpillar as my legs brushed by some grasses and despite just having the wide angle zoom decided to try a few shots. I've had to crop the original but not as much as with some photos.
I haven't tried to identify it yet.
Back at the car in a little over 2 hours and home for lunch.
