The Dambusters Dam.
Whilst out touring in the Peak District we came upon the Fairholmes dam complex, amongst which is the Derwent Dam which this is a picture of. It was used in WWII as a practice site for the Dambusters due to its similarity to the the Dams on the Rhur. It was also used in the famous film of The Dambusters too.there was a lovely tribute to those who had died either in training or on the actual mission of the Dambusters. A really lovely drive up the sides of this valley of reservoirs. Peak District was awesome with some fab scenery . Mr Tbay did all the driving so I am now taking him for a well earned pint!
Farming - Breakdown of wholecrop header which is annoying, but Tom managed to get some mowing in ready for big bale silaging tomorrow . Also had two out on compost hauling.
