Common Blue

This is one of the most beautiful butterflies at the moment round here. We went to Rimac Nature reserve today butterfly spotting. There was an area with knapweed that was alive with them. But this common blue wins the competition for prettiness!
I don't know what all the children do round here but my grandchildren were the only children in the reserve - in fact we only saw two other people.
We then went onto the beach at Saltfleet Haven and looked at the sea lavender in full bloom and picked some samphire for tea.
They all tried the samphire - not sure they will be demanding it on a daily basis!!
