Gone...

for repair. Off to Carrefour, armed with receipt and Ipad. Explained that we had been to the Apple shop the previous day and they said it needed repairing and as the 2nd year of the guarantee was with the store please do something about it.

After much discussion, and pressing of the on\off switch, he decided that 'yes it was not working' so, it is being sent away for repair. Fingers crossed.
