No weather week - day 1

I am aware that many of my recent blips have been accompanied by my moaning information about the weather.

So not wanting to be a weather bore, I shall try and restrict any weather-related content as much as possible for the next 7 days.....starting today.

So here goes......

Took a bit of cycling trip down to to visit M in Starnberg today. There was one point about 4km from Starnberg where I really thought I had a flat tyre because it was so hard going. But it seemed that it was just in fact hard going because it was - always nice to have an excuse if you can find one.

After the customary fine lunch and chat, I set off for home. I had my gps watch on so I could see how fast I was going. I think I hit 33kph at one point - I was almost too scared to take my hand off the handlebar to look at the watch, such was my speed!

Apparently, according to the watch, it took me almost exactly the same time on the way out and back. I found that really disappointing as I really thought I was totally tanking it for about 8km - I was using the top two gears that I never use.....and everything.

Good to be out of the city on two wheels.
