Eastbourne pier fire

We went into Eastbourne in East Sussex uk today to meet some friends who had comedown for the day.After a walk along the seafront we returned to the pier just as a fire engine arrived. We found out that there was a fire in the 1925 building which is near the entrance to the pier ,and all you could see was a small amount of smoke,BUT, with in an hour the building had been engulfed and reduced to a shell.If there is a good side there was no injuries to members of the public and the fire brigade managed to save the rest of the pier.
