Beach life

Emergency blip today as I was out all morning and we've had a friend round this afternoon so no time to go out with the camera. Took this from our balcony -I was surprised at the number of dogs on the beach! Very sad news this evening - Eastbourne pier - a lovely old pier dating from 1870 - burnt down today. We're hoping they can save some of it but it looked like quite a severe blaze. Apparently there was an electrical fault which started it. Luckily, though, no-one was injured.
