The North West Air Ambulance (based at Barton, Manchester) went straight overhead while I was walking the Longdedale trail this afternoon.

I hope it was just a training flight because if they were actually looking for someone in trouble and in need of help they didn't seem to find anyone. They flew all over the top of Bleaklow and up and down and across Longdendale without ever settling to search an area.
