The giants of Budleigh

After Friday's success I thought I'd head back to Budleigh to see if I could repeat the bream.

First customer though, was this huge Red Gurnard, which somehow managed to fit a whole squid inside it. I had a quick check of the record weights as the average Red is about 4oz, but although the record was safe (at 3lb), this was still a monster at over 1lb with the guts removed.

Shortly followed by a bream of almost 3lb (now being digested...), and a littler one (went back to grow bigger). Also making an appearance - a huge goby and the usual dogfish.
