Dog "Daze" on Black Cat...

Dear Diary,

Spending a couple of days on Black Cat Island again. By cousin is taking care of her daughters two dogs while she is away, Lexi and Boddy. Very sweet pups. This is Lexi taking a nap on the porch. She doesn't want to miss anything...wants to be right in the middle of anything that is happening.

This morning the lake is blanketed in a thick fog. It is so silent and peaceful. Being the first to rise in the morning it feels like I have this lovely place all to myself.

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
