Swanage Carnival Week: sand sculpture competition

It is the middle of Carnival Week, and most of the "sand sculpturing" by the younger children involves the creation of sandcastles.


AND ON A MORE PERSONAL NOTE:

The daily taking and submission of a photo to the "blipposphere" can be a time-consuming business.

I shall henceforth upload photos which I consider to be of interest, curiosity value or perhaps even merit. Since I travel quite frequently, this principle is likely to produce a reasonable crop.

It will also make it easier to upload a selection from some of my older stock of images; these go back to the year 1966, which happens to be the year when I acquired my first 35mm camera.
