Parish outing
We chose just about the worst weather possible to venture out on our Parish Outing this evening.
The cathedral had told us that it was our turn on the prayer roster to be given special mention in their daily evensong service. In the end, 16 of us battled gales, pouring rain and cold temperatures to represent our parish. We didn't do a Mexican wave at mention of our name, though a tiny bit tempting!
After, we squeezed into a tiny restaurant in DeGraves St (a dopple ganger for Harry Potter's Diagon Alley).
Good meal, good company. The only hiccup was when we"misplaced" one of the party as we all jumped on to a metro train to reach our country train. She was located, and two other hardy souls caught the next train with her. Phew! I felt like the shepherd with the one lost sheep.
