Summer reading

A heart-breaking coming of age story, written in 1938, which I've thoroughly enjoyed. Set in rural Florida, it tells the story of one year in the subsistence-farming life of 12 year old Jody Baxter and the orphaned fawn he adopts. A book I've had on my shelves since childhood but never got round to reading before.
