A splash of colour

It has been a drab and dull day here, with rain first thing in the morning. The surroundings are devoid of colour, just drab greens topped off by a slate grey sky. It was not very inspiring; in fact, a typically English kind of day and I expect better from Florida.

Luckily, a splash of color was provided by a poinsettia out on the back deck. The vibrancy of the reds cheered me up, a tiny oasis of colour.
