Ellen King MBE

The blue plaque reads:

ELLEN KING M.B.E.
1896-1968

Headmistress of Bristol's
first nursery school which
stood next to this 13th.
century hall.
In recognition of her tireless
work on behalf of the
local community

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find out anything further about Ellen King - she's not on Wikipedia and she's not even on Bristol City Council's list of blue plaques - even though she clearly has one!
