It'll be nice, I thought...
Planted some dwarf sunflowers in a pot in the porch, they'd look nice, I thought. Wait until they are biggish then pot them up and spread them about in the long porch. Sure to look nice, I thought.
They grew...and grew...and grew. At 7ft, it became obvious they were not dwarf sunflowers.
They were moved from the shelf to the floor to allow more head height. They were also impossible to pot up as they were all supporting each other. They still looked nice...Just not what I wanted, the short variety.
Then the flowers came. They are the size of your average round coaster. sat atop 9ft of gangly stalk...What's the point in that? We can barely see the flower.
Me & Gorgeous are feeling a bit cheated.
Here is a shot of one still waiting to open properly.
Shall I cut them and put them in a vase or leave them be?
