Dwam

Dwam is a great Scots word meaning ( according to the dictionary ) " a state of semi consciousness or reverie"

I certainly had a dwam today. I did a house call and returned to the car which I'd left 30 mins previously. For some reason I couldn't find my car key. Not in my bag, pockets or the patients house. The key was actually where I'd left it - in the ignition of my unlocked car. Thanks to the good citizens of Sheddocksley for not nicking my motor.
