After the rain
The morning started dry and I was all set to do the decking when the heavens opened and it stayed that way for most of the day until the evening when the sun came up and everywhere looked so fresh and clean.
I always like the flowers covered in droplets of water and this montbretia looked especially good.
The swallows are getting bigger, still silent with mouths opened wide and eyes closed. Once the rain had stopped the air was filled with flying insects and the swallows were busy swooping over the field and coming back with mouth fulls. There seem to be three feeding the young. The female only incubates the eggs but the male and female and sometimes older siblings all help with the feeding.
