Pottery kilns at Portobello

Stroll at Porty Beach with our friends Cliff and Hilary today took us to the bottle pottery kilns that belonged to Buchan's Thistle Potteries which closed in 1972. Initially there were 3, built in 1903, 1906 and 1909. One has recently been restored courtesy of Historic Scotland. Not entirely convinced by the flat development in the background though.
