The Anniversary Rose

Our daughter bought us this rose for our silver wedding anniversary eleven years ago. The leaves get hit with blight, greenfly and blackfly but it still produces the most gorgeous flowers. It's a bit like life. If you can keep smiling while all around you are losing their heads, you have probably totally underestimated the seriousness of the situation.
