Woods and Snow

It snowed last night! Quite a bit, up to 8 inches in some spots. It's a lovely surprise because we were only suppose to get 1-2 inches. Since I had the day off and the sky was clear (more or less) we ventured into the nearby woods on an adventure.

It was wonderful and so pretty. We were also "rescued" twice by this fine rescue dog. Her name was Maggie and her team was out in the trees training. It's rare we have such great snow for them to practice in. She was quite excited when she found us the first time, the second was less exciting and she hurried off back down the trail.

We really want a dog. Really really bad. Soon though!
