The morning after the fire

Thank you for your many comments on yesterday's blip.
The fire is out this morning - but they are still spraying water underneath part of the decking which is smouldering slightly. The damage is actually to about one third of the total length of the pier - which can be seen outlined in red on this photo which I took on Christmas Day 2013. How sad that it will be years, if ever, before it looks like this again.
