The sound of steel drums drew me to the windows, but I couldn't see anything. The sound got louder and louder and I followed it down four flights to the picnic tables. The smoothie place was having a grand opening right here on campus and they hired a little steel drum band to drum up customers. I love being on a university campus. There is an energy everywhere you turn. It may be students talking and laughing, the smell of the coffee cart brewing up the drink of the day or musicians playing for a transient crowd. It sure makes the day full of wonderful surprises.
