Little Tragedy

Unfortunately, finding dead birds in my garden is a fairly common experience. Apart from natural causes there are power lines and speeding traffic close by. I always feel sad as I bury the little bodies. This female house sparrow was particularly poignant, with her wings spread wide and her feet outstretched, as though she was just coming in to land.
