Life in Sunny Dubai

Oak Tree

How lazy laid back can one day get?

All those warm days are now making me feel cold when the temperature drops a few degrees in the morning! Pathetic! Had to phone Dubai to sort something out. The person at the other end seemed in a big hurry to get off. Job done.

A man came over from the Park office to fix a few things that needed. He had already started some of the jobs while we were away, but now needed to finish them e.g. hanging back the door to the boiler and replacing the bulb in the walk-in closet. The door went back but no bulb on the horizon; so have to wait till who knows when. In the meantime, G & I headed to B&Q for the umpteenth time to see what we could sort out ourselves.

Stopped off at a place called Newlands Corner on top of a hill where we often see cars disappear into a car park. We thought it was just to see the view looking at Albury Downs but discovered today, there is a Visitor's Centre, snack bar, and picnic area etc etc. Wish I'd known earlier! The oak tree was just one of many beautiful things there and I like the shape and three people on a bench. A cyclist pedalled into the frame and later I noticed the dog sitting by it's family. Pretty much sums up this area really.

Tomorrow G & I split up for a few days - she to Trowbridge and me to friends in Bromley. Been trying to get last things done.
