Every picture tells a story.

I have been helping our neighbour with renovating an old house which happens to be situated in a strategic place following the D Day landings in 1944. the Germans were holding a high point about half a mile from the house, the Americans were slowly approaching up the lanes and ditches(of which there are many). Anyway the outcome is history but when they took the roof off the house these were lying on top of the wall beside a window, presumably left behind in the heat of battle!!
