Loveable Leonard

I'm have a lot of back-blipping to do - never seems to be time on the day, though I did think I had posted this entry.

Another beautifully sunny practice day for The Open golf -they say Hoylake is reserving more typical conditions, including thunder and lightning, for later in the week. Meantime, it's perfect for players and watchers alike.

Became a big fan of Justin Leonard when he stopped to play with this baby on his way from green to tee, and autographed her tummy. We saw her later, taking a nap on the grass, with quite a few more autographs on her babygrow. I guess it won't be going into the wash ever again.

I had developed a massive headache by the time I reached home and had to opt out of a party at HH's sister's place. The very special TLC I received from our grandson was unorthodox, but made me so happy that I had almost forgotten about the headache by the time we went to bed. It consisted of him lying down on the bed beside me and putting a David Attenborough program on the TV, interspersed with youTube clips about animals, and culminated in an invitation to watch Planet of the Apes in his room. He put me in his special bucket rocking chair, we watched it from beginning to end and wound up going to bed later than the party-goers, who arrived back before it finished. What's that they say about feeling all warm and fuzzy?
