An unexpected trip to the races ❤️

Both hubby and I were not working today......So what to do...?? A trip to see the last day of the Cricket Test Match against India at Southampton. Ticket prices have been £50+ all week, only £15 for the last day (ground had looked empty the penultimate day) so with time to spare we set off for the 70 mile drive to the ground.....We hit problems at Winchester and it was then a real crawl, taking us at least an extra hour to get within sight of the ground..(by then another 3 wickets had fallen) only 4 left and we were still half a mile away......We crawled closer only to find everyone was taking advantage of the last days prices....Within sight of the car park another wicket down....By the time we get in now it could all be over, and lunch was still 1/2hr away.....We abandon our mission now our new destination is Goodwood race course for there big meeting. I am on another night shift so we can't stay for the whole meeting.....So to cut a long story short....!! Watch 5 races in the gorgeous sunshine then had to legged-it back to Swindon.....Xx
