big garden birdwatch

cathy just spent the last hour staring into space the garden, recording birds for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch - there is still time if you want to do it too!

this is my her chair and the garden beyond. not much of a shot, but it captures the moment well enough for me and i'm not gonna attempt arty today.

we get quite a lot of birds in our garden - our neighbour is a keen bird feederer (i don't think there is a word for that) and so are we and we get a good display of merry birds just about everyday! when i work from home it is lovely to watch them as i try to dream up technical architectures for digital libraries! :-)

we once had a peregrine sitting on the back wall, and are regularly visited by a pheasant who prances about looking big and proud and stupid but loveable - like a king or something. :-)

now for tidying! we don't get many weekends to ourselves, but those we do seem to always involve tidying! :-) Ah well.
