The oldest pillar letterbox in Ireland

Around the area where I work in Dublin, you still see lots of old Royal Letterboxes dating back from King George, Queen Victoria and King Edward. Except they're all painted green :-)

Now that I think about it, I don't recall seeing any modern Irish letterboxes in Dun Laoghaire, they all seem to be ex-British ones. Oh well, we probably can't afford new ones anyway!
