Summer Suns

A trio of tiny suns for Lughnasa and Lammas, festivals that have long celebrated the start of the harvest season.

Many thanks to Freespiral for identifying this pretty weed as "Fox and Cubs" (Orange Hawkweed) when I first blipped it on July 9; her blip today reminded of this seasonal festival, and how I enjoyed the link there to the brilliant Irish band Lúnasa in performance!
