The Birds

We went to our local garden centre today to pick up a couple of new bird boxes, as the birds are turning their noses up at our current ones, as they are obviously looking for 'new' homes, rather than listed properties.


There was a huge rack of mainly robins but some other terracota birds tucked away in a corner. No wonder they hadn't sold many - I think these birds look frankly menacing and I wouldn't want them anywhere near my garden... unless it was to scare off intruders!!

Hopefully we'll get the boxes up in a couple of weeks, and with any luck we'll have our usual families of blue tits and great tits using them...
