Royal Troon Golf Course

Golfers across the world come to play Royal Troon's famous Championship courses. This blip demonstrates its fabulous location on the Ayrshire coast looking over to the mountains of the Isle of Arran. Not that I was playing golf on this hallowed ground! I was lunching with friends in the Marine Hotel which looks out on to the fairway. It turned into another beautiful afternoon, and sitting outside drinking in this scene, made Scotland feel like the best place in the world to be!
