After staying up into the small hours, staring into the night sky, I managed to get a picture of the the Moon and Mars together. They would have been closer the night before, but it was too cloudy. This year is the closest Mars will come until 2014. The picture would have qualified for today's blip, but I decided against it.

Even after the late night, I set the alarm for eight to catch Andy Murray in the Australian Open final. It just wasn't to be, and he was down pretty much from the word go. There will be other Grand Slam events... I don't think he'll wait too much longer! It was good to see how much success means to him - Scotland's footballer's could do with some of his passion.
