Preston Mill, East Lothian
We had a day out today in East Lothian under rather dull skies and with occasional rain. We did an interesting walk however to the ruins of Hailes Castle and a return along the River Tyne path to East Linton.
Preston Mill is a National Trust property: it till has much of the original machinery and is powered by a real working water wheel....well worth a visit.
We finished our afternoon at Tantallon Castle which is an impressive fortress with fabulous battlements and wonderful coastal views. The weather was less than conducive to good pictures so a return might be required.
