Hugo

is a worker at Union Market in DC, the old meat packing district that is fast 'gentrifying' and becoming a bit of a hotspot. The transition makes for a strange juxtaposition of gritty warehouses, stores that sell bulk (and cheap) items of all kinds, next to spanking new displays of fine imported cheeses, organic food restaurants and shinny coffee shops with fancy baristas.

Hugo was operating a forklift in one of the old warehouses and when I trained my camera on him, he got a healthy heckling from his co-workers about being the pretty boy of the lot. He did have the most amazing light green eyes… :)
