Evening Treat

Today was cloudy and cooler than normal. We only made it to 99F (37C)! After dinner, I noticed the beautiful Sunset and had the lovely surprise that it was actually cool enough for our evening walk while there was still some daylight left. It was a lovely walk, but the monsoon clouds kept building. The rain started with a gigantic nearly simultaneous burst of lightning and boom of Thunder 2 blocks from home. We were pretty wet, but we did get home before the sheets of rain came pouring down.

When we lived in New York, rain was a nuisance. Clouds were a dreaded fact of life. Here, the sun is so hot during the summer that any cloud cover and nourishing rain is welcome. In fact, Bob hopes the rain lasts until tomorrow so that he can play in it.
