In port.

It's fresh fish for dinner for us tonight. The three trawlers that operate out of Raglan's harbour were all in port when I was at the wharf to buy some fish. A strong westerly is making the sea rough today so the fishermen are having a day off. It must have been good fishing recently though as the shop was well stocked with fresh fish. I chose fillets of gurnard which is our favourite species. It is wonderful to be able to go to the wharf and see the fish being filleted there and then. It is so distressing what is happening to world fish stocks,surely we can do more to protect the spawning grounds and let numbers build up.
