Looking into the Kanimbla

Blackheath sits at the highest part of the Blue Mountains ridge but there's an area to the west of town which dips relatively low so that the farmland in the eastern Kanimbla Valley seems to be but a tantalisingly short drop away - instead of a half hour's journey by road. For me, the departing sun lights everything at a genuinely appealing angle.

While I was on site, the temperature plummeted and I was shivering as I briskly walked away. We got a light fall of snow last night and it'll be -1 degree tonight.
